Tolo is a small secluded town with a long beach set in a sweeping bay. Tolo enjoys a very beatiful situation backed by mountains, and set in a blue bay,

which is speckled with tiny islands. The town is a very Greek in character with many tavernas, a number of discos and plenty of shops. The Athenians come to Tolo for their own holidays of just for Sunday lunch with Athens a convenient three hour drive via the Corinth Canal.

Nauplion, the first capital of modern Greece is less than seven miles away, its wealth of shops, restaurants, squares, open cafes and maze of narrow streets certailny merit a visit.

There is also a very interesting museum and castle. The excursions possible from Tolo are fantastic and some of the most important sites of antiquity are nearby. The Peloponnese was the earliest part of Greece to be inhabited.

Mycenae, Epidaurus, Corinth and Tiryns are literally less than an hour away and Athens, Sparta, Olympia, Mistras and Patras are all possible within a day's excursion.
